Black wolf mount.

Been working on this for a few days, as you can tell in order for me to do this the 71 challenger had to learn what its like to be living in WA not CA so i kicked his pretty ass outside with NEMISIS......if you ever knew a car can give you dirty looks........i be damned that bastard was about to run my ass over......now hes really acting up and drained the battery in 2 HOURS...........asshole!

either way been working on this................im really hoping she turns out, ive been wanting to create something like this for years now! crossing fingures it works!!!!

do you use them if they're ill or dead already or do you just hunt them? This is depressing... I actually dont's support hunting but I respect you and if DA still allows it I can't do anything... But I hope you'll do something great out of it wich worths it.

I dont hunt but i would like to learn. Although the pelts you see where already dead when i get them in, and are usually taken out by Legal means, some are Farmed and some are trapped during the proper season its exstemely rare i will take anything that died of Natural causes.

its rare to pick an animal and say......i want that one. and they kill it for you but i did at one point have a chance at getting a pure white wolf that way. A fellow taxidermist offered me a few wolves that a Breeder for a zoo got too over populated with and they where going to dispatch the entire pack because they got too out of hand. so i got to pick what wolf out of the pack i wanted.

But they did the whole pack in not like i picked one and they only shot that one. As Taxidermist you get great oppertunities to even work with the rarist of animals, for Example not too long a Few Ligers popped up and some Tigons popped up for sale. We have seen White tigers and all sorts of Rare Big Cats for sale to taxidermists as well. All are popperly papered and all zoo raised. and those do die of Natural causes but they run in the 15-50K range..............i was tempted to buy the Tigon because it was able to be papered in my state but i want another show car before i buy a Tiger.

I personally love wolves, Alot. But I'm not gonna freak out on this poor dude because he does something that makes him happy. As long as he's not spazzing through the forest shooting every living thing that comes in sight, I think it's great that he's doing something he enjoys. I see where some animal lovers come from, But come on dude. Live and let live.
Great job bro, You really did a decent job on the canine. Even though I don't know much about this form of ART.

GET THESE FUCKING PICTURES OFF THIS FUCKING SITE! I don't want to see some dead and skinned animals with needles in it's eyes, lying on the floor just because someone has an hobby of stitching the them back together. We live it the 21st century, no one want's to see what their great grandfather shot while on safari in Africa. Makes me fucking sick to see these animals an a coffee table accessory. No regard for animal dignity what so fucking ever! If I didn't know any better I'd say that people who appreciate this got some weird shit for necrophilia! I don't want to sound like a "know it all", but FUCK THIS SHIT!

Let me recollect my memory of last time I searched the internet for Taxidermy. Sorry, this might be your passion, but I really can't see any different between stitching up a dead animal and stitching up a dead person unless it's scientific. Unless these animals signed a contract saying they leave their skin to be stitched back together, I don't approve (but you don't give a fuck about that). I don't give a fuck if rich men wives freeze during winters or if hunters can't display and brag what they shot during spiring, this shit is not cool in my book and most thing are ey OK in my book, believe it or not.

Honestly you're a hypocrite. Who DOES give a shit about your opinion? You say don't get personal, yet, you started it on their page. You say you don't support this but you say "oh it's okay for science"

You are a hypocrite, and you are closed minded. Your opinion doesn't mean anything to anyone aside from all the other treehuggers and animal humppers of DA. If you don't like it. Don't click on it and don't comment. DA allows taxidermy as art, it means this site supports taxidermy. If you don't like it, leave DA. Because butthurt people like you aren't going to yank the chord on taxidermy being allowed.

Toodles.

hm, Everything is Vast your probably ok with one thing that is connect to this thing but because you can see a face makes it not ok. I suport this trade, and you know what I respect you for not. it may not be art to you but it takes alot of time and crafting for me. Just because your closed minded about it doesnt mean its never been here before.

I don't doubt it takes time and a lot of passion. Just because we see two different worlds doesn't mean I don't respect YOU. Calling me closed minded though is pretty fucking personal considering I'm entitled to my own opinion, but I won't go there because I have made my point.

ok. ok, im sorry, but you really put yourself as closed minded. Although you want to talk about "Fucking Personal" you came on MY Deviation and sent flying words. Then you consider me calling you closed minded is "Fucking Personal." i met some open and closed minded people throughout my life the way you first introduce yourself is the most convincing part of all.

:C wolf...this brings back horrible memories as a kid when I did a report about my favorite animal the wolf. She had been bringing in things that pertained to the animal we were writing/ presenting about. Everyone else had gotten cool things like candy, toys etc...she brought in a wolf's pelt. Lol...I was traumatized haha. Should make it clear I am not opposed to it...just that this wolf's pelt looks almost identical to the one my teacher brought in lol. :P

I remember as a kid growing up something like that happened to me except I was in a crafts shop and a lady had a native american display selling her art and dream catchers... I saw a dream catcher ontop of something fuzzy and whie and I remember touching it and I was all "Wow this feels nice! I never had a fabric feel like this, what is it"

My mon is all "That's a rabbit."

"B-but it's flat ;A;"

"It's dead"

:icononionfailplz: there goes my childhood, way to go mom. Then a few years later I saw a kimono at a kimono shop and there was a white dress in a glass case and I asked the lady why it was in there, cause it was white? She said no, it was a fox fur kimono.

And I was sooooo depressed and traumatized by it because at the time arctic foxes were my favourite animal :faint:

So I completely can agree how much the shock factor is when you're a kid, especially when you don't know what a pelt even is (like me lol)

:D I think that's a fantastic way to teach kids. Any kid who's seen any of my pelts so far have all been fascinated and wanted to learn more. It's only adults (and 13 year old emos) who have reacted badly - because it's a learned reaction, not a natural one.

bitchy is right, all of my cars at one poit cause me troubles......my 2010 Challenger NEMISIS locked me out and refused to even work because i drove home in a Mini couper LOL. my 66 mustang you cant turn her off unless you yank her battery but plugging it right back in she turns on. we call her cristene, and my 71 well im not his original owner, he was owned by a kid for 10 years who rebuilt him ground up, sold him to me and we are still butting heads but we are warming up to each other....... but i think kicking him out pissed him off.......i just had the battery charged, i unplug it evertime i turn the car off, so the two hours he sat not running he drained it!
My next mustang better not cause me any problems either!

Thank you :tighthug:, thankfully i had no problems with this wolf! after the hide paste dries and glues her down i will finish her up.
